It's sweet to be salty (Charleston 5/13 report)

The Windsurfers Swap Meet on Sullivans Island (Charleston, SC) was pretty well attended but...oh, my gosh...is that wind? Today? On a date picked weeks before? Enough wind to get these spoiled coastal wind snobs on the water? Here at Station 29 -- my favorite SE ocean-sailing-with-waves place? Warm and sunny, too? Can it be? Yes... it can. We had as good a 5.8/6.3 day as you can have. Very, very powered. I got about 3 hours worth of salt water. Man, that's SWEET. It was SW so not big rolling swell, but nice, steep "short waves" and some crazy pshco-chop over the huge sand bar area there that really was pretty fun to ride through just to see if you could. Good tribe of windsurfers to ride with down there, too; I mean, not as good as up here, but a nice tribe to be around. Love the ocean!

Chuck,

How is the sandbar at St. 29 now? I think you mentioned before that it had either filled in, or been leveled out, but I forgot exactly what happened.

What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.
