I'm thinking about heading to Jacksonville on Tuesday or Wed (9/16-17) and hopefully get some of Isabel without being right in her path. Current forecast is 15-20 on tues & wed, and not much rain. I plan to camp.
Anybody interested? call me at 770-967-0104.

Gene, Leave early tday morning and come on down. I'll join you in J'ville wed's morning. Have you checked the tides at Hugenot? Let me know. Worst case we can surf.

Hey,
You guys have seem to have a lot of confidence in the forecasted path of Isabel. I wonder how the "wildboard" would handle 150 mph. For that matter I wonder how those soft surfboards are on 15'-20' swells. Good luck finding the wind and waves, but don't get caught in the middle of things.

So far trhe softboard handled up 6 ' +. I sailed Sunday afternoon 10.3. Yesterday 7.5, and today looks like the small stuff. This morning surf was 12' +.
Danny,
I'm probably not going to make it down to Jax, too much going on, although forecast still looks real good, REAL good. But who knows? May try to sail here.
