Radio Shack has an electronic digital windmeter for sale for $29.99. Looks like an inexpensive alternative to all the other ones I've looked at. See link below. It measures wind speeds from 6-30 mph, that should cover about 99% of Atlanta wind (Oklahoma windsurfers should look elsewhere). From 31-35 the display blinks. Above 35 it just shows an "H", I guess that stands for Holy Moly (they get a lot of "H" wind in Oklahoma).

They also have a little keychain thermometer. Might be nice too with the temps getting so cold.

An alternative for those that own GPSes (like myself)-
Zero out your GPS max speed reading and reset. Get some sawdust or grass clippings. Throw them up in the air. Run along side them till they fall to the ground. Note new GPS max speed reading.
