Had enough yet? ( - and ACWA Picnic reprise)

I know that's a stupid question, but I'm wondering, is this what it's like to live in the Gorge? Sounds like you Lanier guys had THE epic day of days. Meanwhile, over here a couple hours drive to the east, it's Sunday afternoon with no commitments and despite the 15 to 25 forecast and the swaying pines in the back yard, it's an easy call to just stay in the easy chair with the GaTech/Duke game and rest these numb, tingling forearms. I mean, really, who wants to bother with rigging a big ole huge 6.5 or something like that? Ho hum.
Let's see: here's how the first 11 days of March over around Lake Thurmond went:
Tuesday 1st -- 5.3 to 4.7 to 4.0, then just blown away
Saturday 5th -- 4.7 to 4.0 all day
Tuesday 8th -- 4.0 for 4 hours - perfect,unchanging 4.0
Friday 11th -- 5.3 to 4.5 all afternoon
Saturday 12th -- Augusta-Columbia WSing Assoc. picnic at Lake Murray with 30 windsurfers in planning conditions all day from 6.5 down to 4.5
Sunday 13th -- 15 to 25 forecast and... I can do without it today.
Although we had more up and down conditons at Lake Murray yesterday than further to the west, it was way cool to have an organized windsurfing event here at one of our own lakes with folks, well, wind SURFING. Roger Jackson had every board -- must have been 25 of 'em -- that he carries get wet, from beginners on STARTS to guys ripping on the EVO 80. It was actually a rather weird vibe on the beach. After the week we'd already had, many of us noticed how relaxed we were -- no rush to get on the water. It was sort of like, "oh well, it seems a little up and down at the moment, let's just hang out, have another burger, and when it completely fills in, we'll get out there on the 5.0 or 4.5" Dorothy, you just can't beat a week and a half like that -- at least not this side of Kansas.
