I have used my GPS once. I have an old model that does not allow downloading of data, however. My main problem was that it was hard to read while sailing as it bounced up and down a lot. I think there are a few other GPS guys out there maybe.

I'll put it on my list. I put my speed down on a (iirc) French website where you could record your speeds. Maybe I'll make a fixed topic.

As Randy says, it's dang hard to read one at 30 mph and where to put it is always an issue. If you are going fast, you always run the risk of going over the top in which case you don't want to catapault a $100 GPS into the deep. I stuffed mine into a wetsuit but that gets tricky - making sure the GPS can see the satellites (your body is blocking the line of sight upwards)

I think the best I did on a 5.7 at Hatteras was about 32-33 mph pointing it way off and holding on for dear life. I truly admire those who go in the 40s. That's insane.
