Gene's Consignment Shop now has a Kayak for rent. It is a two seater but can also be paddled by one. The rental price is ONLY $20 per day, $40 per weekend (3 days) or $80 for a week (7 days).
So now on those no wind days, you can enjoy the lake anyway. Or on those windsurfing trips, take it along for the non-windsurfing people.
Call me at 770-967-0104 for info or reservations.

Wow - wish I had known that yesterday. Was at Van Pugh with the kids & famila and swam - it was great - I saw a Kayaker out there - would have been fun too.
Gene,
Does this mean the repair on the nose of your f2 went terribly wrong????
Randy
Gene, when you will have rentals of Hobie Cats and waverunners??
What a whore. No actually, I love it. Please put me down for October 22-24 (our regatta weekend, for communal use). Really.

Hey, that's not what I wrote! WILLIAM?! What kinda jive you doing with my first amendment??

busted by the censor....
I think the word you were looking for is "prostitute" or perhaps "woman of ill repute" or "sportin' woman"
Tut, tut. Such language. Such a potty mouth.
Chris,
So that was what you were trying to call me, and after I just sold a sail for you. Lisa and I used it all day Sat on Lanier, out of Burton Mill Park and up Big Creek. I only charged her $10 since I was with her. But seriously folks, it was alot of fun. Sat afternoon we left from Van Pugh and took Roscoe (the Disney dog) with us, went over to Chestnut Ridge campgroud which is closed and let him "run like the wind". It was a very nice day, considering there was no wind.
As for as renting the Kayak for the regatta weekend, I'm sorry but it's unavailable, it will be in Hatteras for (free) communal use of the trip.
Also, Gene's Consignment Shop will be closed from Fri 10/9 thru Sun 10/25.

What model kayak is it? It might make a good companion to my double on a weekend trip sometime in the future if I have a couple of kayaking friends who are interested. That is if I can ever get enough time to go out of town for a kayak trip again.
Jamie
Jamie,
It's a Aquaterra Keowee II (Perception??). It's a tandem Kayak and is super stable. To paddle solo, the front seat slides back to the middle so the weight is balanced. I think it is considered a Recreational Kayak, it tracks straight but isnt fast. You're the Kayak man, you probably know alot more about it than I do. Lisa and I enjoyed it last Sat.

That is a good boat for a trip I was thinking about sometime in the future. Nice and stable for some friends to tag along with our double. Maybe sometime in the spring.
