Gene called this morning sounding like himself. He's already talking about missed time on the water and how soon he can back to windsurfing. Yes, he still has his southern accent. Gene is waiting for the nurse to come and remove his IV so he can take a shower. Chuck & I are going to make a short visit before 11AM.
He wants everyone to know how much he appreciates the cards and concern expressed over the web.

So glad to hear that Gene is on the road to recovery. I have been priveledged to meet some fine people in the windsurfing arena since my move to Atlanta. Gene has always made it a point to say hello and offer some advice. Thanks to everyone as well for welcoming a Yankee to share some wind down here.
