I hope this doesn't shape up like last Wednesday- "The best fishing day of the year" (It wasn't by a long shot; a shame that fish don't check the solunar tables each morning. )
When I got there, Jerry was already out on the water. It was fairly steady 10+. Sometimes, you never know until you try. Anyway, it was great, no chop, no boats - we had the place to ourselves. I did what Chris P. suggested and put the daggerboard down, went way upwind and on the return downwind, practiced some carving turns, regular gybes and even got in 2 slow duck gybes. 12th time out, end of report.
Saw the forecast too and will go in the PM if schedule and weather cooperate.
