Enjoy LLSC! I'll stay down here and possibly sneak in a short sesh at Lake WW.
A few other items:
- Sam graduated from High School last night :-).
- "Fort to Battery" by Force and JIYC did send Sam his award for winning the Jr division for twin tip kiters from April :-).
- Someone took a few picts of me winging on Lake WW from the other day. The problem is I have a strange mid-section spare-tire-shape in the photos - need to work on that!
Morning was rainy, cloudy, and very gusty. I got in the water around noon as thins seem to be getting better. As soon as geared up and made my way to the water, like magic the wind stoped. I Slog around for 2 hours tring to catch something, anything, waiting for something to kick in 2 hours latter I gave up. Literally as soon as I got out of the water, the tree started to move. I snuck back in the water without the wind seeing me. (I think that's the secret to getting wind) and... BAM! the sun came out, the wind picked up and got steady 😄. next thing I know there's Kiters and windsurfers from LLSC. Awesome timing guys👍
On the water around 2pm with the 5.5. Started out having to chase the gust up near the dam but at 3p it filled in nicely.
Flattened out the sail and had a great session until 5ish. More boats than usual, I think I counted 5. Lake is full pool.
I rigged my 6.7m Ezzy Cross sail & foiled at Vp for 10 min when the wind picked into the 20’s. I used the same sail & switched to windsurfing a 120L board - with perfect warm, windy conditions. Joined be two newbie windsurfers, Z and Ed.
Galts was mostly steady, fairly quiet, got some nice runs and getting this wing foiling down, a little at a time. So glad to navigate easily and stay upwind due to the windsurfing skills.
I reckon I’ll go entertain the campers at West Point tomorrow.
I’ll be at LLSC after lunch.

White caps popping up, LLSC should be nice. Looks like a good time for however long it last.
I’ll be at LLSC too, hoping for 2PM. So excited to see you guys again.
I’m heading to LLSC early afternoon.

Dave - were you really able to launch right there and stay upwind?
Cool.
