Don and I sailed Old Fed, it was a real nice day, EXCEPT for the WIND. It had alot of South in it and was real on/off.When on, it was plenty for my 7.5 and 130 liter board, when off, it was off. It was fun in spite of the wind, and HOT (around 80 degrees) and Sunny.
Forecast is still good for today(sat) and tomorrow. I hope to sail both days at Van Pugh. It's the weekend, hope to see EVERYBODY there.
Sat didnt live up to the forecast but was still fun. We had about 8 sailors at Van Pugh, and a couple who didnt rig. Sail sizes were in the 6.5 to 7.5 range, I sailed 7.5, 130 liter board. William F came late and rigged anyway when it was kind of iffy, and actually got the best wind about an hour before dark. Everyone else had already packed it up.
Forecast is still good for today (sun) and I hope to sail Van Pugh. It's already blowing some but still chilly. Joe O is on the way, I'll probably be there around noon.
report from galts, allatoona. There was a crowd of one .Wind blew moer as the day got to an end; around 5 pm it became west, wnw and about 20mph. I was sailing the exocet 140 l with a 8.5 infinity ezzy and had to come in(to tired,to gusty). Before it was planning conditions on and off from 2:30 til about 3:45. But it was fun and challenging. The atlanta Yatch club had a two boat race. Iam hoping for more constant wind today, w and wnw. have fun.
Let me know which location you decide on if you are going. I'm off work today and can go as well.
