Epoxy putty for small board repair?

I need to fix a few small (<1 cm) holes around the centerboard slot of a new-to-me Equipe II CHS. They appear to be manufacturing flaws which I found after removing the original gasket. A total of five areas - - an example in the picture below.

I’ve done searches here and at BoardLady.com for information. It sounds like I need some epoxy putty to fill the voids in the foam and reshape the areas. Marine-Tex putty was mentioned here. Any recommendations for local purchase? Preferably on the northeast or north side of town? Can I just go to West Marine?

Also, any differing recommendations on the repair? There doesn't appear to be any delamination or soft foam. I was concerned about corroding the foam, but it sounds like I should be OK with the marine putty.

Thanks, Lee

Lee,

Post this at boardlady.com - she's the world's leading expert and has been extremely helpful to me. Eva is very generous with her time and advice, and knows exactly the right answer. She'll tell you exactly how to fix it.

You might also ask the person you bought the board from what happened there. It looks like maybe a repair has already been attempted, since the stuff in the pix doesn't look exactly like foam to me.

If Marine Tex is the solution, you can get it at West Marine. (You'll need it eventually, anyway.)

What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. The repair process seemed to work well. I picked up a small package of white Marine-Tex from West....

Here's the same spot after epoxy and rough sanding:

And, new gasket installed:
