In case of a real emergency, TowBoatsUS out of Lanier Harbor Marina will pick up a windsurfer in trouble. Their charge is $75 per hour, one hour minimum, from the time they leave their dock. Their phone number is 770-945-2884, or they can ben reached on VHF Channel 16. Hopefully we will never need them but I have just programed their number into my cell phone.

Like I didnt know that was coming.
BUT, Gene's Consignment does have a kayak for rent FOR ONLY $20 A DAY which should normally be on my trailor if I'm there. If I'm out sailing and someone does need to borrow the Kayak for a rescue, feel free to take it out, the paddles should be on the trailor, but no PFDs. Oh, and no charge.

I'd bet by the time they get out and back, you are looking at least $150. You may want to program in the number of a taxi company instead.
