The second Wednesday comes early this month, so the Club meeting is August 8, at Frankies (with 40 cent wings) at 7:30. We need to discuss the Learn to Windsurf Clinic, and if we have enough students to have it. HELP get the word out...STUDENTS NEEDED!

Please mention the Fall Showdown at the meeting. It's a 2 1/2 day race on the last weekend of October. There will be formula, longboard, and Kona classes, but the biggest fleet last year was hybrid. We're expecting as many as 10 hybrids from Houston.
Also, do you ever discuss trying to build a new one design fleet? We did in Houston. First, we found out who all would be interested in one design racing. We kept a running total of who was in, and sent out that total number, with names, out to the e-mail distribution. As more folks got on board, more folks wanted in. Once we had a big group, and the number stabilized, we discussed board options, including prices if done via group purchase. We did a group purchase, got a good deal, have lots of regularly scheduled races with no wind minimum, and really gave racing in our area a shot in the arm.

Student wise the learn to windsurf clinic is NOT looking good and we need to discuss this. Also, if there is any interest in a Local one design fleet per Joe the Windsurfer, we can discuss this. And any upcoming trips and Regattas.

I can and will email you the current closeout lists to your email address above. Speaking of Formula class, there is a 2006 Exocet Warp Formula 100 board on the list. The closeout season is just beginning and currently I only have Aerotech, Exocet and Neil Pryde lists. I expect more list in the next few weeks and months.

Also, we had a good turnout at the meeting. The clinic is still up in the air, BUT I think we're going to atleast try to have a get together at the Lake Lanier Sailing Club (thanks to Chris V) on that day, Sat 8/18.
