Great day over here today. Chris Campbell, Patrick Jenkins, and myself all on 5.3's. One of those rare lake days when one sail was just perfect all afternoon. Good ramps and fairly warm water. Man, it's been a long time since we had a classic, sweet day at the lake!

Bravo you dogs. 5.5 at Lanier got a bit too small by about 4:30-5:00. It seemed kinda odd that that size worked pretty well, but there was only dinky chop and decent rampage was hard to come by... at least for me. I wonder how the other Lanierians saw it. It was nice to be in a shorty finally.

p.s. Chuck, thanks for the loot. (??) What a guy!
At VP I started on a 4.7 and it was too small most of the time. I then put on my 6.5 and it was very nice - I love that sail - thanks Windsense! I did my first jibe on the Mistral Flow (115L) & almost had at least one other. & I have only been wundsurfing 28 years :-).
There was the blasting wind for a few minutes, then lighter for a few minutes thing going on that happens & keeps everyone guessing. It did seem that people sailed beyond 5 which is cool.
From 1:00 to maybe 3:00 I could have been using a 4.0, but all I had was a 4.7, I sailed it very flat. It was good, rockin' and rollin' definitely. Wind then tapered off, went 5.8, pretty good but increasingly spotty. Great day.
Drew and I spent most of our time practicing waterstarts. I think we have them down now. I sailed 4.5, 5.0 and 5.5
I spent most of my time saying "I want my mommy", in honor of Mother's day. I sailed 5.2, 4.5 and 3.7. Well, you couldn't exactly call it sailing. Left by 3. Last week I was a 3.7 hero in Hatteras. It doesn't take long to go from hero to zero
What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.
Nice day at juliette too, Jon D, Alain C and myself on 5.3- 6.1's, I even got to use my little EVO for a little while before it backed off.
air was a little chilly so shortys were the attire du joir.
exxxxxcellent day

Right on! (yeah, I said "right on") -- It's great to get a stoke report from around the area lakes like this.
I'm wondering: Did the kiters get any of this wind yesterday? Emilio?

On the kiting side, unfortnately, work got in the way and we didn't make it out yesterday. Sounds like we missed a really good one. Glad you guys had fun.
