Back from the Outer Banks Blues

Last evening my wife & I arrived home after two glorious weeks with a house full of friends on the Outer Banks. On Friday I windsurfed until mid-day and then packed up for the long drive back to Atlanta. This morning I plugged in my laptop computer and turned it on. I made the mistake of leaving my web browser set to open with the weather page at Jeanette's Pier. Jeanette's Pier is next to the house we rent in Nags Head. The forecast is for wind picking up from the South, sunny and in the low 70's.

I reset my web browser to open to Gainesville weather, to see a forecast of rain, cold, and 5 mph wind. Even more depressing, there is no wind in the forecast for the coming week. How can this be??? I'm now in prime windsurfing shape, calloused hands, jibes perfected, and van loaded with gear.

This is really depressing. I knew I should'd have looked at the OBX forecast when it popped up on my computer screen, and now I regret it.

The good news is we have the house reserved for the Spring and and look forward to again sharing the experience with friends. If you haven’t already, let us know if you’d like to go. I'll soon post the Spring flyer listing dates reserved.

I feel ya man....

What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.
