Sailflow.com provides wind forecasts for many places around the US, including FL. You can look at a national map, then zero in on the area you want. The first link below shows places around the panhandle and the rest of the state. The second link is the 7 day metrogram for Pensacola. This is the same service provided by Iwindsurf.com. For a fee you can get even more detailed data and models, but the free stuff seems pretty good to me.

This may be well worth checking next time your thinking about heading south. Too bad - Lake Lanier is not on thier maps.
