If so, where? Vanns?
It is forcast to be SSE and raining. And says T-showers, but if there is no lightning at least it will be "warm".

Randy has already accused me of being a downer on a separate thread so I'll try to remain, ahem, positive. IMHO, save your chits for Thursday- wind forecasts for rainy days can be iffy affairs since sometimes they seem to call what they think it'll blow the blustery 30 min before it pours.

launch spot

It still looks up in the air as of late tuesday. some models show some wind Thursday early. Wednesday afternoon could be good, rain should be over. If you go tommorow afternoon check the forecast models carefully, as my indications are direction is likely to be sw to sww, in which case Vann's Tavern might get iffy.

South wind is the worst direction, I never know where to go. I was planning on sailing today thinking it would turn west in the afternoon, or at least SW. Now it looks like the forecast is for it not to change directions until after dark. Bummer, because it looks like it's going to blow hard. If anybody's going, post where because I may try it. Also, supposedly some people have sailed between the beach and Bozo Island at Van Pugh on a straight South wind, I've never tried it, it could be pertty extreme with hard gusty winds. Also, I guess Sun Rise Cove is an option.

I dont have a clue.

S is good at Vanns, SW works well up at Sunrise.

Both S and SW? That's a tough one (Lanier runs SW-NE).

Maybe West Bank Park (little windshadow to get out and no trailers, though).

David Wade & I did sail Van Pugh once on South, or maybe South East. Maybe it was South, because it did finally swing around to the West. It was doable.
