I sailed Galts from about 12-3:30. Started out with a flat 7.5. Was right on then went to a flat 6.6 and was right on. Then needed to go to a mid 5 but was too tired to be sailing alone.
Days like today are few and far between. Time for a beer.
Wow, I'd need a beer if I'd had to rig 3 sails in a 3 1/2 hour session! In fact, my whole 3 1/2 hours would have been eaten up wth rigging (but that's a reflection on my rigging skills, as Gene would attest).
Thursday turned out pretty good at Van Pugh, had about 7 sailors, sail sizes in the 7.0 to 6.0 range later in the day, earlier David W and I sailed bigger, 8.0 & 8.3.
Wednesday was warmer and windier with more sailors (about 15) but THursday wasnt bad.
I hope to make it 3 days in a row this afternoon (fri).
Sorry I couldn't get to Galts before 4:30. White caps and pretty solid when I arrived but then began a crazy up and down pattern that made it tough. Still got some great rides with a 7.2 and wipe outs that mashed the front of the explosion. Looks like I'll be needing to get with Gene soon!
Galts for me from about 12-4
I plan to sail Van Pugh this afternoon.
