Sorry guys, I couldn't make it. I had a water heater go down that had to be fixed on the day I was supposed to leave.

I guess its Van Pugh then, I'm going just after lunch, looks like it could be pretty decent but a little chilly!

I can only go around lunch time and seeing it a 40 ain't exactly motivating me. The water is warm enough but my hands ache at the prospect.

Chris and i just got back..Our first stop noon, was Mexico beach. rigged 4.7 but the wind was onshore, nice waves though 2-3 feet. i did not have what it took to get over the waves while sailing parallel to them. On the outside it was big bowls with swell from 2 directions. It was very windy Tues. sailed a 4.7 and chris a
4.0 the wind was west 25- 35 knots and cloudy and warm. We sailed the cove at CSB with a offshore wind with just a little angle to it . starboard jibes were very close to shore in very smooth water and port reaches were over some crzy chop. So 80 yards offshore i broke the universal bolt and had to wait on chris to bring me a new uni. so i drifted downwind in the offshore 25-35.. It blew hard all night and the stars came out around 9pm. Camped at CSB. A few beers and Hot Indian food and left over easter candy and hot chocolate for dinner. Wed. it was northwest at 25knotsand very sunny and warm. went to Mexico beach after a hot shower and breakfast (eggs gritts and coffee at camp)about noon and I tried to sail a 4.7 but there was not much wind on the inside. There was still a little too much onshore to the wind so after a fes atemps we went west UP THE road about a mile to a pier and had lunch. watched about 8 surfers catching some very brief rides. the waves were around 3 feetand some of the swell on the outside was 6 feet at least.. Chris and i rigged 5.5 and shorties at about 3pm and had agood time in the surf and swell on the outside for a couple hours. H ad some big jumps off the swell going out and had some fun riding the big swell coming back in.. Then the wind backed off so i drifted back in a couple blocks downwind of my launch.. Stoped because of a bad wreck about a hour north of Mexico beach. turned around and went back 50 yards to this ex gas station and had a dozen raw oysters and a couple buds.
