Anybody know about racks?

Gene has some roof racks for sale, but they are the older variety with clips that latch onto the car's rain gutter. Are those compatible with more modern cars? I drive a '95 Mazda that has black plastic(?) inserts on either side of the roof that run from the windshield to the back window.

Thanks,
tim

Tim,
Find out whether the racks are Thule or Yakima.
Then go to Thule or Yakima web site and enter your auto. Both the sites will have software that will determine what type of clips needed for any vehicle. Then you can find out if the clips that Gene has are compatible with your 95 Mazda.

Oh by the way Tim,
If Gene's rack is not compatible with your vehicle give me a call. I just bought a new car that has an car rack built in and now have an extra set of car racks that I can sell. It is a Thule brand.
Patrick 770-345-4392. If your interested I will come up with a reasonable price.

There's a place in Woodstock called Rack 'n Roll. They will install new racks. That's where we got ours done. Call me if you need to.

Nice racks, watch out for factory rack systems, they are not designed for windsurfing, just ask Dave Delorm, who lost the entire kit on the way home from Hatteras
