Another impact vest option

Forward WIP https://www.forward-wip.com/en/4-50n-impact-vest.html

has certified level of floatation and windsurf/kite harness compatible. Not Coast Guard approved but does meet international standard used elsewhere. Lots of pockets.

Add this to Promotion, NP, Ion offerings. My Promotion is virtually invisible and makes waterstarts super easy. I've climbed out from under the sail a few times without a problem.

Edit: relevant: https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2018/08/17/2018-17799/lifejacket-approval-harmonization
Looks like level 50 does not meet proposed USCG levels but 70 is equivalent to type II/III pfd

I believe this style would suit my sailing skills better.

Budget (less features, pockets, etc) version of the Forward: https://www.amazon.com/Forward-Sailing-Flow-Impact-Buoyancy/dp/B07FKTRQF5

No idea how this compares to the more expensive version in terms of fit, function.
