Below is a link to U-tube showing the "first time man set foot on a windsurfer" on May 21, 1967. Shows Jim Drake's first session. (Many of us will be able to relate.) While Newman Darby builta windsurfer prior to Drake, his board was never commercialized. Drake and his partner went on to start the original windsurfer line, and the rest is history.
