2 Weeks till Christmas Party, 12/18

While all the details are still not available, the Club’s Christmas party will be held on Sunday, 12/18 at William & Lisa’s home. WindSense is providing a smoked ham, and DaKine has provided some great Christmas presents:
DaKine XT Seat Harness with Spreader Bar, list price $109,
3 sets of DaKine Reactive Harness lines, list price $36 each
DaKine Explorer Back Pack, list price $50
And 3 Wai Wai Base Pads, list price $9 each.
That’s almost $300 of goodies.

The question is what method do we use to give these away? Here’s my ideas. The giveaway should be limited to actual WindSurfers. These are Windsurfers who have actually windsurfed in the last year. Also there should be some process where eight winners are selected and then somehow narrowed down to the big prize, the harness and bar, to add suspense and draw it out. It should be fun and fair. Suggestions are welcome and needed.

Also, there will be the traditional white elephant gift exchange with a separate one for the kids.

So everyone make plans to be there, and please help get the word out.

Gene,
My name is Alain Ciclet and I have been leaving in Fayetteville for one year. I contacted Chuck Hardin last week looking for place to sail.
He told me that you are getting together with some windsurfers.
Let me know if I can participate to this event.

Alain,

You are definately welcome. William will post more details on the web page shortly, directions, etc. The party is 5 until 8 on Sunday, the 18th.

The Atlanta Boardsailing Club is not real formal, no dues and no real membership list. We meet the 2nd tuesday every month (except Dec, Christmas party instead), eat some wings, drink a beer and talk windsurfing. We have a few events and trips. All windsurfers and want-a-be windsurfers are welcome.

Most of the windsurfing around Atlanta is done at Van Pugh (Lanier), Gaults Ferry (allatoona), and a few other sites. So come on out. Our Most-excellent web page (thanks to William) has alot of the info you need, so check it regularly.
