In today's AJC. Looks like we escaped the axe - at least for now. Some of these were campgrounds that seemed to never be open anyway (Shady Grove, for ex.) Here's hoping the next step is not to start closing parks during the week or cold weather months. It does look like most places with a boat ramp were spared, or at least that they will keep toe boat ramps open. (See, those boaters do have some useful purpose after all.) Buford Dam park will close m-w, and Old 41 No. 2 will not re-open. (Old 41 No. 1 will be opening again. Though its only open from about Mid April to Sept anyway.)
