11/14 Thirstday

It's been a while. Unusual that the forecast gets better each day-- now saying gusting to 35

Van Pugh anyone?

Looks like good wind today but is there any water left? Or should I put training wheels on the board?

It's already blowing, a little chilly at 48 degrees, I plan to sail Van Pugh starting mid-morning, around 10.

Plenty of water for windsurfing, though you do have to carry your gear a little further. I plan to be there as well. Its good to know I will be able to walk back from Bozoland, now.

I had a great day too! On Tybee with 1 other windsurfer & about 6-8 kiters. On a 5.5 then 4.5, winds gusting to 35 (or more?). I sailed at Polk St & the wind was almost directly on shore. I felt completely safe even though the water was rough. Excellent day!!

We have a new attraction at Van Pugh, our very own Jibe city. Due to the low water levels the area surrounding Bozo Island (now called Bozoland), now forms a protected cove. It drops off pretty rapidly, so it seems like you can sail into it, w/o fear of hitting something. The water is very flat, no matter how much wind there is. Maybe we should give it a name - how about "Mussel Bay"? I'll try to post a pic of it, if I can figure out how to take one with my cell phone.

Boy, that photo really looks familiar. How did the rest turn out? I know I got a lot of jumping action.
