Periodic reminder - GA pfd regs for sailboards

Just a reminder - under GA law for navigation in inland waters, sailboards (windsurfers) are exempt from pfd, registration number and other regs but "rules of the road" do apply to us. Nonetheless, you should still decide based upon conditions, your skill, etc. Yes, your board floats - but that assumes you are within reach of your board which isn't necessarily assured on a very windy day. Additionally, float/impact jackets are recommended when foiling. That extra three foot drop can matter. The law is silent on the topic of kites and wings, however.

I wonder if you could post this on the COE or DNR facebook pages. They are the ones that need to know it (and once in a while may not).
