+1 Good
If the forecast holds, Thursday will be a good day for practicing Longbored racing at LLSC. Late afternoon start.

The low in the southern gulf with the high to our NE puts the panhandle in some strong gradient wind. I’m not going but somebody should. Good

The Blue Parrot on St George Island has a good quality camera:

Re: Week of Juneteenth

Windy is calling for best wind between 10am-1pm.
It seems to show decent wind after that but being its east wind I am thinking it might be best to go in the am.
Targeting around 10am at Vann’s

Missing from the pics are Hamdi, Gene (winging) and kiters Mike and Vinny. Had a nice chat with Vinny afterwards who was ironman for the day. Vinny is relatively new to kiting but has tons of experience as a wakeboarder and just loves kiting. His wakeboarding skills (and tricks) are quickly translating. The reason I was a dot on the horizon was that he was way up by Port Royal and I went up to keep him company for a bit. He said he was trying to see if he could kite into the marina and then have a cocktail at the bar. Biggrin Good

Tried out my new Flyer FR 5.2 yesterday. Sail has a ton of range and very locked in. It takes a bit for the cams to pop but very used to that with my bigger race sails. I really was hoping the relatively short boom (166) would let me work on duck jibes. First try I got stuck trying to pull the sail back and fell. Later, determined to nail it, I reached really far back pulled the sail across and "thwack" - got smacked in the face by the big foot of the sail. With my little T-Rex hands, this sail is about as unduckable for me as my 8.0. Cray 2 Oh well, it otherwise behaved very well so I'm still happy with it.
