I am planning to give Thea a wingfoil lesson on lake windward - foiled so much ( here ) that I have not even had time to share. Also, I am between jobs right now ( again ) ... will change that :-). I am looking to work remote in Python automation, AI ... details to be shared
I sailed Equipe/9.5 from LLSC, shaking off the rust before racing this weekend at Shell Point. Roland winged from Old Fed Campground. He said it was windier in the morning. I made it up to VP where webguy was up and down with his 7.7. Was that Barrett out also? Hanged out til dark watching the big boats racing.
Not that windy yesterday afternoon, but enough for Webguy & me to foil with big sails in the gusts. 4:30 - 5PM the wind picked up & I enjoyed half an hour of steady foiling. Chris made a brief appearance sailing over to VP from LLSC.
Today we start packing for two weeks in the Outer Banks!
Fun day at Old Federal even though not too much wind. Beginner wingers Howard, Randy (also windsurfed) and me, Zee windsurfed, Hamdi and Chris P Windfoiled, Vinny kited, Hamdi and Channey giving a windsurf lesson.

Y'all had a party at Old Fed and didn't invite the rest of us? (Not that I would have come but still...)
I made the mistake of making all my equipment decisions while there was a dark cloud overhead pushing a lot of wind. After 10 crazy minutes being powered up, I spent the rest of the afternoon regretting my 800 wing and 4/3 suit in the sunshine.
+1
Unless these conditions flop by 9am, I'm going tomorrow.
ETA as early as ~11am, and will leave by 3pm latest.
See you on the water,
-Stuart
Seeing caps on the lake cam. Trying for late afternoon
Based on the morning forecast, which slows midday, I’ve decided to stay home - I’ll try sailing the SE wind on Friday afternoon.
Thx
Nice breeze in my cove. I'm heading over to VP after lunch. My tolerance for crappy wind is higher than most...
