Wow! Forecasts show big wind on the way. If the forecast holds for West wind Monday, I plan to sail mid-day, but will check the radar for rain. Tues. Fx is NW wind & sunny. Please post if you can go.
I am leaning toward Van Pugh. It's only a few steps into the water to reach sufficient depth for my foil, and I won't have to clean any sand off my gear when I'm done - and maybe just a little goose poop
The Big Wind didn't happen until thunder ended our session, but we had a great time foiling. Stewart winged with a 7.0m & I wind-foiled with an 8.0m. Chaney arrived too late to sail with storms approaching, so we went for a quick swim & packed our gear before the rain hit.
Today was a Big Wind day as forecast. After a couple of trips across the Lake foiling, the wind rapidly ramped up and I converted to windsurfing with the same 8.0m Ezzy Cross sail. A smaller sail would have been a better choice if I'd know how hard it would blow. Chris P., Toni, Chris V., Al, and Roland were all out on the water when I came in. Gene came by planning to return with his gear.

Hope to go Monday late afternoon.
May go to Old Fed
Edit at 10am
I wiill go to Old Fed probably early afternoon .
I like the plan B options there if the weather decides to take a nasty turn
Will try early afternoon, hard stop 3pm.

I have same plan. Chance of rain, T-storms in Fx starts at 3PM. I’ll watch wind direction to choose launch & post Van Pugh or Old Fed.

I plan to go to Old Federal early (before noon) when I see some wind, before afternoon storms?

Live report from Old Fed, w wind. Better wind direction at Van Pugh, so I’m heading to VP.

Missed it yesterday. But the buggy’s still loaded and ready for today. High of 84° - it’s a cold snap!
