I think JB got the good wind early. I met Howard & Richard at VP, got two good foiling runs across the Lake foiling with an 8.0m and the wind died. the parking filled up about Noon.
Turned out okay at Old Federal, kind of light in the a.m. but came up some around 1:30. I wind foiled on 6.7, Chris P played with his new wing, Andrea and Daniel (?) were rigging when I left around 4:00.
Turned out quite breezy later in the afternoon. Went to the llsc so I could teach a young friend who did marvelously. He was up and going in minutes and sailed around for a good 90 minutes going way upwind and back.
Three things that made it easy for him: he watched a brief GetWindsurfing video on youtube to get familiar with everything. He's a very good sailor (he taught kids sailing last summer). He had proper kit - a wide floaty board and small sail. At 6 ft, he used a 4.0.
Also lent some kit to a fellow llsc member who hadn't windsurfer since he was young and the guy came back with a huge smile.
Chris showed up and I later joined him. He did a tour of all the parks and told me he didn't see anyone else out. I was surprised given how windy it was. When I first foiled, I was well powered on the 5.4. Later it backed off a bit but could still stay up about 90% of the time.
Fingers crossed Sunday brings more wind than rain. Rain in the Fx means fewer boats & more parking at VP.

Cool - looking to head up there soon - when will the parking lot likely be full?
And if it does got full, can one park outside somwehere (never had to do that) after dropping gear?
Hope too see y'll.
Old Federal report, 9:45, some dark water, plenty of parking, I think it was more wind earlier at my house.
Any minute now. Think I'll rig 6.7 and hang for awhile.

I got out about 3 and was happy with 6.5. Whiny Willy made his 5.4 work.
