We had dots earlier in the week that backed off today. Still keeping an eye on it. The dots backed off Tuesday and it still came in nicely with Chris foiling with a 5.5. (His new board has given him foiling super powers.)
Expected winds are W/NW so the usual location.

If wind is at least 10ish I will go to VP around 3:30 or so
Hey I'm from Rochester, coming to Presque for the weekend. I'm bringing my gear. First time windsurfing on Presque Isle Where is the beach you'll be at on Friday? VP? ""The Usual Location" THANKS!
Zak
Presque Isle is near Erie, PA. VP - Van Pugh Park is at Lake Lanier, north of Atlanta.

Zak, I'm afraid that VP (Van Pugh Park) is nowhere near Presque Isle. Google tells me they are about 760 miles apart. We'd love to have you sail with us, though, if I misunderstood your post.

Meanwhile, WeatherCat is letting me down. Forecast for tomorrow keeps fading. Saturday looks pretty good to the west of us - Galts on a NW? I have to be on that side of town in the evening and may slum out there for a while.
Maybe?

I'll be on the road to Shell Point's Endless Simmer
regattaparty, where I'll try to make you proud. With the pardon announcement, two reasons to celebrate Willie.
Good luck!
(btw, you didn't pack up the dots and take them with you did you?)
Dot forecast showing nines. Optimistic again. Thanks, Weathercat!
LOL! Yeah I'm afraid that I'm not going to be able to join you this time! Thanks for the replies guys!
Live report. Just short of my minimum but going to rig. Very warm and I think it'll pick up.
Despite the offshore-wind-biting-black-fly forecast, the sea breeze was on when I got here late afternoon. Hoping for a repeat for racing tomorrow. Classic SP sunset

It did pick up enough that Langdon got some good rides on his 7.0. Mike came out, too, on his 7.8 and fin. I was able to foil over to the LLSC and back without problem and then do some ripping runs without a whitecap. All praise the 1000 wing.
Lovely, lovely day.

Four races today- I got: DSQ (8), 2,2,2 currently in 5th place
Dave Stanger: 1,1,1,1
Long Distance race is the Sunday custom and it counts as 2 races. Throw out worst score after 5 races
Sunrise at Shell Point Beach-

2 more races on Sunday gave a throwout so I ended up 2,2,2,2,1 (Dave Stanger had a lock on first so he didn't sail the last race). Of the 7 in the Unlimited fleet, Stanger was first overall, me second, Dan Olivier third (1st heavyweight). They had 9 super enthusiastic racers in Novice fleet after giving lessons all summer, 3 in 7.5 limited and 8 Windsurfer LTs, enough to make their racing interesting. Sad to say, neither Dan nor Dave are coming to Atlanta. But at least that gives US a shot! A lot of sailors and non-sailors come to the Endless Summer event just to hang out, watch the racing and enjoy the beach party. Probably 40-50 were at dinner.
Photos: Tina giving trophies, Wright Finney (beer) and Jack May, Commodore. The Party Animal trophy on the table in front (I was not in the running). Beach start in light off-shore wind was interesting. LTs mixed in with the Open classes. The big group shot (Thanks to Richard Hill for the photos):
