high 85 winds 10-20
I'm going to be either roasting in a long suit on top of the water or freezing in the water in a shorty.
SW - I'll be at Van Pugh
Edit: chances of breezes the rest of the week although some days are just marginal

We are camping at VP South. After our morning walk at sunrise (1st pic- walked thru VP North) followed by kayaking (also past VP North and back), I actually did some swimming - on purpose- with a swim suit. Refreshing, very pleasant. Water has warmed up quite a bit. For sailing, shortie would be plenty IMO.
Our campsite has very easy access to water and I did get on the water some when we arrived and settled in yesterday. Got some rides but died pretty quick, leading to spending much more time on the hammock than the water - which was more than welcome.

Thanks for the offer. I'm back on my feet already - it's just my big toe that's affected. I just can't get it wet..... *sorry2*, wear my regular shoe or put too much stress on it.

I think everyone had a good time. Not quite as strong as reported at Gilmer but we did have some good gusts roll through. Was tempted at one point to rig down to 5.4 but just yanked really hard on the downhaul instead.
Great for y'all - what do you think abt tomm?
Get well soon Randy!
WeatherCat says similar breeze but chance of isolated showers. Not sure how much of the wind for tomorrow is associated with the showers. I'm willing to take a chance with an eye on the radar. Definitely warmer than it has been. If you aren't in the water much, shorty is the call. For us who get wet - I wore a thin full 3/2 and was comfortable in the breeze. Temps coming up 85 were around 90 but cooler at the lake.
Lester Ross on FB caught someone up at Old Fed (I'm assuming)
Edit: up by Sunrise/Port Royal. Either out of Sunrise or Mountain View?
My friend who sails a Pearson 21 regularly tells me he sees a windsurfer down by the dam and in other parts of the lake where we do not normally frequent. I used to think maybe he was seeing Randy out of Mary Alice but it is not Randy.
I wonder if Tim ( red Toyoya LJ40) is still on the lake
11:40, VP south live: not glass like but definitely not the 10-18 that the FX is calling for right now. In the last 30min, there were maybe 3 very short bursts of puff - maybe enough for webguy to take off but I dare say not many others. For me, looking like fairly good conditions for kayaking over lunch.
Checked with Al. He said it was probably him. He sailed after work with his Kona and 8.5 from Mtn. View and thought he saw someone on a sailboat taking a picture..

Me and William yesterday - video credit goes to my wife. This might give the impression that I have left William in the dust but I think he has already lapped me and was coming back around to catch again. It was fun to do a few runs with it despite the lapping around me. 😀
From Robert - effects added.
