I am interested in going tomorrow mid morning
If I can swing it, I will try for 10:30ish. Can’t stay all day so probably one long session and hit the road.
Final Friday report, Langdon (5.7) and I (6.0) foiled at old federal, a lot of 5 to 10, some 10 to 20, and a few gusts of 30. I got nailed by 3 of those gust in a row. I didn't see the first one but saw the other ones coming and still got killed. Then later, not enough to get on foil. But it was still fun and kind of wild.
It’s about 8:00am Saturday. I can’t make it on Sunday so trying to pick an arrival time and location for today. I have things to do in the late afternoon so I probably will take my chances around 11:00am. Anybody else going? Looks like WSW. Van Pugh?

Just arrived at VP. Not a ton of whitecaps but dark gust on the water. I imagine it will pick up as front gets closer Some pretty good gusts just went through so there’s wind. First one here, hopefully not last. LOL
Neil
12.30, Neil is winging at VP, wind direction keeps shifting, wind shadow then no wind shadow., and speed is up and down., Caps no caps. Neil is having fun.
Back home now. So much fun today. Once outside the launch area, I was never off foil for more than 45 seconds. Although, others weren’t convinced there was wind out there, Randy launched and we had some nice blasting runs. I definitely miss the ocean swells but grateful there’s an awesome option near by and the people here make everything that much more fun!!! BTW, Randy was buzzing on his Moses 720 foil. I had not chance staying with him on the 1550. If it windy at the Regatta I don’t think I am going to be able to hang with the Windfoilers. Perhaps an equalizer might be gybing and tacking. Looks trickier on the Windfoil and radius is cut way down with the Wing. I am only hitting Tacks sporadically, but I am not falling. So perhaps I can make up some time there
Hope everyone got some wind out there today
Neil
I am following this guy - he has a camper with local license plate; should know good camping locations with sailing access.
It’s been very windy here everyday - white caps at waterfront that’s 10min walk from our Airbnb. So far, lots of hiking and sightseeing only for me though.
Last day where I was. Climbed up to this pass and we got to bomb down the other side.
Next week back in town and trying to remember how to windsurf for the regatta
2pm ish Old Fed

Trying to sort out family things in the morning so I can go today early afternoon (say 1-2 pm). I will avoid VP for now, so it’ll be OF for me.
Tomorrow looks much better for me and God willing I’ll be there too.
Great!! I haven’t seen you in a long time. See you over there.
