I don't about the beach being open, but for NW you could pretty easily launch from the boat ramp. We used to do it that way all the time. I am wondering about the west-centricity of our recent forecasts lately. They have been counter-intuitive. I've not been back to Galts in while, so I don't know whether there was any truth to those numbers or not. There have been some recent days when the actual reading looked pretty good, but the direction was E or SE so kind of pointless to try.

I was watching that storm too. I was out on the E bike and had to beat the storm home. E and rain do not mix well.
BTW Barry just bought an E foil surfboard. Cool and fast too.

I might try around noon. Seems iffy but not much other chance these days.
Take an umbrella. Bunch of moisture a couple of hours away
The GFS is hinting at a decent east early Saturday.
What's the problem? There is a dot tomorrow at 6 pm.

Or there is this......just a little to the west. I guess one could start out at Toona and if it sucks head over the Lanier in time for the 6pm dot.

Any word on Galts opening?
What's the old saying? A dot in Vann's is worth two on the Etowah.
Edit: Yeah, I'd rather chance tomorrow than mid-day today. Tomorrow afternoon should blow like stink because I have to be in ATL around 5.
