Chance that tomorrow morning will be fruitful. The models are starting to suggest 10-15. Probably best times between 10am-1pm. As always this time of year, there's no guarantee.
I am watching this as well. I have meetings starting at 1. So, if forecast holds, looking at early start (on the water 9ish), likely at Vanns (shorter drive, enough to make a difference when tight on time).
This from Iwindsurf - Gene, almost a solid 5.2 forecast! ?):
Vanns live: decent breeze, good gusts. Rigged 7.6 and large wing, think it will be a good am. Plenty of parking. Leaving by noon latest
Winds much stronger and steadier than it felt at the shore. After 2 runs to the channel, sheeted out and on the wing, Came in to switch to smaller sail
Great session this morning. Until about 9-9:30, wind felt on the high side even for the 6.4 but that's the smallest I have packed (where is that 5.2 when you need it!) but I hung in there, mostly on the wing and trying to keep in control by sheeting out and/or going upwind more than usual. Towards the end of my 2+hr session, William visited from VP. Great start to the week; hope we get more of these 'out of nowhere' pleasant surprises - and given the forecast, we need them.
Sweet day. As bad as the water was Saturday, it was like butter today. 15-20 at the start and then started to wind down towards noon. Barrett and Chris P joined me at Van Pugh. 24 odd miles
Was that today (Wednesday)? There were hints on the models of some wind mid-day and Langdon texted me that it looked breezy. Unfortunately, today wasn't workable.
Yeah It was up and down. A bit windier on the left side of old federal, maybe funneling into the cove. Good day for sailing but you didn’t miss anything.

Tidwell. Early. The first rule of east wind: Don't sleep on east wind......
What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.
So, I CAN talk about east wind?

No. Second rule of East wind - don't talk about East wind.

Where's Gomer when we need him?

NE wind. Anyone for Van Pugh?
Barrett
I'm easy. Whoever wants, needs company - I can probably sail from 10:30 on.
Aiming for
9:30at VP.Well, a little late but nice to have some confirmation.
Confusing forecast- NOAA calling for the afternoon, everyone else the morning. I am going with everyone else and shooting for 9am at Vanns.

If the wind holds I will probably do second shift
