At VP, very iffy for my level. Debating to rig or not, might be a lot of bobbing around I am afraid
Are you saying too much wind or too little? Also, I'm thinking you meant Vann's.....Probably tough to type on a phone at the lake....
I went to Mary Alice and Little Ridge. I saw enough wind (at least in the gusts), but too many people. A lot more than I recall seeing this time of year in the past.

Parking lot at MAP was more than half full by noon. I figured it would only go up from there. Little Ridge has a very large parking area, but there were certainly more cars and boat trailers than I normally would see on nice spring or summer weekday.

Barret did a veni, vidi, vamoosi (He came, he saw, left) by the time I got to Vanns at 2:45 or so. Hamdi was valiantly trying to find puffs. Alan kindly took pics from his Catalina. Alejo pondered but skipped it after seeing varying readings from Gilmer.
Edit: The kite boys will be doing an early session at Old Fed. Between the crowds and the boat traffic, that sounds like a good call.
Perfect day for sailing. Well perfect for me, Josh wasn’t too happy when we hit some steep boat chop head on and he got soaked by 20 gals of cold water coming through the front hatch. hopefully our blankets will dry before bedtime.
I couldn’t get it up. Then my mast blew out the head of my sail in mid-pump. Sail bagged out and dropped down so it felt like sailing home with my pants down
Big thanks to Alan who sailed around in circles for 10 minutes while I waited on puffs. He was a good sport to take all these. I owe him at least a free dessert or entree at Lorettas.
The pic of the black helicopter is a nice add-on. I guess Bunny is back at his day job...
We will be out there on the boat Friday/Saturday.

Today looking good but the question is where to launch... Old Fed or Vann's?
South breezes are quite rare here: https://windsportatlanta.com/wiki/Wind_Roses_(Lake_Lanier)
I am shooting for Vanns around 1p
probably around 2
Plan to arrive at Vann's about 2PM.

What’s the direction at VP? Offshore?
Lakecam is showing SSW at 1:30. I might go there and have an après foil
CoronaDos XXParking lot very full, maybe one open spot now
3:00
Hamdi et al are at Vanns “light south with some gusts”
Sailing Club- same but enough to motivate rigging 8.0.
3:30 whitecaps

After all, isn't that what really matters?

No problem I enjoyed it. Anyone know what the little green sailboat is.... Thistle maybe?
