Cabrinha comes back to the US

Splitting off from NP HK and coming back to the US.

https://www.kiteworldmag.com/news/cabrinha-announce-new-ownership-breaking-away-from-neil-pryde/

"To take on the role of Cabrinha’s CEO, Modica has appointed Kent Marinkovic, President of Adventure Sports Inc., the world’s leading distributor of Cabrinha Kites."

I wonder what this means for Adventure sports and windsurfing, too. They are the NP distributers for North and South America I think. I wonder if their already diminished US presence will slip further. (They have minimal retail presence here instead selling mostly directly.)

I imagine NP will do their own line as kiting is pretty big in China especially with the Olympics coming up. Part of me imagines that the RS:X had more to do with Beijing hosting the '08 Olympics rather than its merits as a raceboard.

They sponsor the top athletes in surf sports to collaborate in development and marketing."
