Haha! An idea so crazy I couldn't even think of it. But then who would have 2 wings? Or 2 fuses?

More. What's next a biplane wingsurfer?

Horue has had a "biplane" adapter since the beginning of the year.
Phil said it's more lifty but more draggy. They spent some time figuring the configuration to minimize the effects of one wing on the other. I'm wondering while these lift at low speeds if they don't take a fair amount of power so you really aren't flying much earlier, just slower.

I had considered getting one since it's compatible with my wings but decided to go for the el Grande XXLW wing instead which Phil seemed to like better. I end up using the Tillo most of the time anyways...
As someone brilliantly pointed out in the WindNW thread, if foils get too big you trip over them, so a biplane is better. Anyway, I think it is pretty obvious if one wing is good two is even better. I think the Red Baron had 3 wings so there's that too.
BTW - on the Horue, it looks like they have the wings pointed in the wrong direction, so that's probably why they didn't work that well.

Speaking of foils. Gene let me try his short mast Slingshot foil last week while waiting for the tides to come up and even though his had less total wing area, His narrower/wide chord foil seemed to lift me much easier than my wider/skinny chord foil.

Nice guy, taught us a new very cool and easy way to separate a stuck mast.

Were you comparing the XLW vs the i76 (orange)?
Yes, My XLW and I'm pretty sure it was his 76, it was the original one he bought and had replaced, I don't remember what color it was.
All that said I still like the Horue, I moved the stabilizer all the way back and it seemed a lot less twitchy.
Alan
Blue was the H2, iirc. The 76 is orange that he got from Jim.
Blue is the same size as the Horue but thicker (more lift, more drag). The 76 is 50% more area but thinner than blue series which is why it is more popular. Less draggy for similar area.
No I'm sure it wasn't the one he got from Jim.
Hey I see that you and Langdon registered for the foil race in FL on the 25th.
I may head back down for that.
Alan
Would you me and Gene be enough?
Alan
The wing Alan rode was the Time Code 68, which Slingshot replaced my original damaged wing with. The Infinity 76 I got from jim is currently having problems and is also being replaced. Good customer service. Product quality????.

My bad... I thought you were still sporting a bluie. Yeah, you aren't the first with a i76 issue. There's a thread on iwindsurf about them. Glad you are getting taken care of. So, are you racing in Clearwater?
