Now NOAA is now playing along with dots on Wed. at least. Like I always say, NOAA is the always the last to know if an easterly is brewing. They are calling it for the afternoon though. That would be more convenient for me, but it contradicts decades of experience.

Thought it through and I'm heading to VAN PUGH tomorrow morning. Yea - Peggy said she would join me for a morning at the Lake. We have a 1PM meeting in Atlanta and VP is closer.
I'm thinking Van Pugh may be better for me too, Closer to the boat and to work afterwards.
Plus I need to buy a new season pass before the gate people leave for the season.
GREAT morning on the water!
Some of my best flights upwind to date.
No pumping required. ( sometimes have to wait for a gust)
Sometimes sheeted most of the way out with tbe 5.7 and still plenty of power.
Grabbed the lunch slot at Van Pugh as Barrett (with Peggy spectating) was getting out of the water with his 8.5. Foiled the 7.7 in 8-18. The flat water really helped the jibes* and I realized at one point I'd been going about 20+ min either planing or foiling. Super cool feeling.
Saw Hamdi headed to Vanns for the late afternoon session on the road.
* Breakthrough on the jibes today by making sure the back foot was all the way back to the straps when stepping across. Helped to keep the nose up going around. My footwork and handwork still need tons of practice but had some nice ones with no tippy taps.
Hamdi, Chris P, Ed and myself finished the day off at Vanns.
The East wind generously held out all day.
Better than anticipated wind allowed for a lot more flight time and Ed was making good time with his 9.5. I think Chris P and Hamdi had been there most of the afternoon and evening.
I think that today was probably the most enjoyable day that I have ever had on Lanier.
Keeping it real. I arrived early enough to see a lot of whitecaps, and rig a 5.0. I arrived late enough so that by the time I hit the water probably 7.0 was the right call. I decided to try my new wing which helped sort of. It definitely seems to take less wind, but it is not the laid back ride I am used to. Tomorrow I plan to arrive earlier.

Yeah...I been feeling ill for over a week now.
I hope to see the doctor early and often this week.
Will the Aerotherapy to be at Vanns or VP?

I'm going tomorrow morning. Should be on the water by 9am.
Anyone else?
VP or VT?
Alan
I am going to try and be on the water around 7am and maybe again at 5pm or so.
I am planning on Vanns unless the consensus becomes VP.
Unlike other places, the most contentious issue in the ATL

Some people are taking the "dawn patrol" stuff literally.

Did dusk patrol at Gaults. Arrived at 4:00, whitecaps most of the evening with a few lulls close to 6:30 but welcomed as I am badly out of shape.
