I went to Galts around 2pm for 2nd day of foiling (tentatives). It was scary in gusts but I was able to practice take offs and crashes... Removing the back straps was a good idea (thanks Webguy). I can''t wait for the next session....
Thanks to Debi Baber for the video. It's in 1080p so adjust your Settings accordingly. I took off in the puff at the left that Chris is just getting into. The puff was maybe 9-11. A couple more vids on the way.
About time you guys got some proof. What size sail did YOU use?

I was asking Eric because he was a bit underpowered on the 6.5 for most of Saturday but Sunday required less sail, at least on Lanier. I was comfortable on a 5.4.
I was on 5.8 Sunday. Nice size in the gusts, I did not have to worry too much on the sail and focus on the weight and balance. I would have loved more steady wind ... It is interesting to see how foil react with the weight , front pressure stay planning, back pressure you go up and ... try to stay with wings in the the water. Love it !! Most challenging windsurfing sessions since I started in the early 80's.

What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.
