I forgot to send my post in from Vann's when I arrived around 9:20. It was going off 20-25. Crispy pulled up right after I did. I need to start remembering to bring smaller sails. Rigged the 7.0 - again. First half hour was well powered with downhaul at the max. Planed straight off the beach and the swells were super fun to play on. Wind moderated to a mere 15-25. It seemed to slacken just after 11 and we both came in.
Pretty much the same at Van Pugh, maybe more wind? I rigged a 6.0m & Foil guy rigged a 5.5m. I had a great time on my freestyle/wave board, but Chris was overpowered & cracked the nose of his board, cutting his session short. The wind dropped at 11 & I went back out powered up with my 7.0m. Tim & Langdon were heading out as I drove off. There was still some wind, but with lots of lulls.

I'm thinking we had pretty much the same wind. Crispy and I were out in the channel a lot of the time and VP is just 1/4 mile downwind. We had a good swell going so the fetch was long enough and lots of whitecaps. I'm getting a reputation for forgetting or not picking up the smaller stuff when I leave home.
P.S. It's not me, it's the sail. Ezzy Cheetah for the win, again.
The hourlies from Glimmer say it was East all morning, but I'd say it was ENE at the lake, mostly coming out of the marina. As soon as I got past 16 (the last island off Aqualand) the wind was a bit stronger and definitely steadier, so the next E and esp NE day, I'll prolly be going to Vanns in spite of the longer drive.
I had ventured out there looking for a little less wind, but it didn't work out like I figured.
This should buff right out.
I'm in!
I will try to remember to bring the GoPro tomorrow and I will also try to stay out of path of the hypersonic crack pipe of Chris V
Vanns Tavern for th 10-noon shift

Sorry Chris had a flat tire.
