After nine hours of driving we have enjoyed nice 6.0/100l session. I have talked to Brian owner of OceanAir shop in Avon and if you are property or business owner you can go to Avon by emergence ferry boat. Last week it took him seven hours to get home to Nags Head from Avon.Nags Head is fairly clean and we have not seen any major damage but we have not been to ocean side. We have seen many destroyed houses approximately fifty miles inland.

Thanks for the update. It seems as if it's going to be a while before there is any semblance of normalcy below Nags Head.
Any visible bottom changes where you are with all the sand shifting around?
Marcel,
We had heard there was a problem where people were not allowed to cross the golf course to get to the Sound because repair work they were doing on the golf course. Does that seem like a problem? Are you staying near the house we had last?
Randy
What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.
Why did the windsurfer cross the golf course?
to get to the other tide.

(why my kids hate me so much)
We are five houses down the street. I have not seen any major work done on golf courts but have not seen any golfers. I'm not sure what is happening on the rest of the course. There is around fifteen subs cleaning beach using bobcat and small tractor but is nothing major.
The bottom seems to me deeper with no sand bars.
I missed to mention thousedes of blood sucking mosquito but the OFF is working well.
We have walked to the ocean side and the beach is clean with no visual damage but last evening we walked the bay side and there is plenty of debris on the beach. I'll try to attache some pictures later.
