I was at Tidwell from 8 am to 11 am. You're right it was a great day. Sailed 7.0 the whole time. If you come up 400 you might consider Tidwell sometime. It is closer than Vann's Tavern, has restrooms that are actually open all year round and heated and has the longest fetch on the lake. Less wind shadow than Vann's Tav. No need to carry your board up and down a hill - the boat launch is where I launch from. And a nice grassy spot to rig on. What more could anyone ask for?

What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.
I will do that !
Barrett Walker & I sailed Van Pugh in the afternoon. Pretty good day, from about 4 till 6 it filled in nicely, sailed the big stuff. And what a great day, warm not hot, not much boat traffic, just a very nice day.

well darn I figured with it being easterly everybody would sail vanns.
I think Van Pugh is just as good as Vanns Tavern on East wind, Vanns Tavern is better on South East and Van Pugh is better on North East. That's just what I think. I do prefer sailing with other sailors and dont mind driving to Vanns Tavern if that's where everyone is going.
On those iffy days, especially during the week, we should all try to comunicate where we're going, whether by posts to the web page or telephone calls.
Speaking of iffy days, I hope to sail Monday and/or Tuesday, depending on where that storm goes.
