If these models are right, it carries all the way through to firday, and friday is the stronger of the 2 days. May not be able to make it friday, though.
Quick question about Van Pugh directions. I am trying to find a quick way up to Van Pugh from Holcomb Br. in Roswell. It looks like I could take Holcomb to Peachtree Industrial. then take that north until it turns into McEver? Finally, take McEver to Ganes Ferry? I usually go to Vann's Tavern because it seems closest, but this W wind wouldn't be good there. I hope I can get away from work and get through some traffic in time for a little sailing.
Yes, you can take Peachtree Ind. (turns into McEver) all the way to Gaines Ferry. If you live close to 400, you could take that N and cut acroos Hwy 20 to P'tree Ind. That might be faster? I am going to try and cut out of work early and get up there this afternoon. Hope to see some folks there.
Yes, you can start at Peachtree St in downtown Atlanta and go straight up till you hit Gaines Ferry. (Really, I rode my bike up to the lake several times in the 80s before Peachtree Industrial became limited access).
But you probably don't want to. The traffic lights kill whatever time savings you get. I went up the back way a couple years ago when they were doing all that weekend paving on I-85 and it added at least a half hour to the trip going up Buford Hwy which takes about the same amount of time as Peachtree Industrial. It may seem longer but to the extent you can be on an interstate going 70ish, you'll be doing much better than waiting at a stop light.
You can cut across on GA 20 or if you really know your way, cut across on Buford Dam Road as it winds around towards Holiday Harbor. Maybe Gene or Tim can give the better directions.
It looked like midnight outside by the time I was able to leave work, so I figured the weather wouldn't be favorable at the lake. What about today? There seems to be some blue on GA on the graphic MOS. Of course, I can't get away from work early today either, so unless it is still blowing at 6-7pm...
I don't have much luck with the MOS. Usually if I have put my board on the car the night before, the cat will sleep on it. I check the board in the morning. If the cat has urped on the board, the wind will not blow that day. Can you sell a cat on ebay?
Think I'll try Galt's.

Randy
all my gear is on the car so guess it's Thursday,

Galts was pretty much rained out.
Sounds like Lanier was too. Who is this Randy guy that keeps sending out people on fools errands? (I heard he didn't go himself.)
Guest Who??
