Looks like a SW at 12-15 for Gainsville, so I'm headed out this am to VPSouth. Who else might I see there? I will probably swing by VPN to check wind direction first, but it looks right now as though it's expected to shift slowly to SSW-S later, but who knows?

I'm headed out to VP now, it appears the wind is starting to pick up; guess I'll see when I get there at about 11:30am. I hope to see and sail with some others!! Let's go CHECK IT OUT...my legs/arms are-a-twitchin'...been TOO long!!!

Is VP-S even open this time of year?
How was it?
Yep, you are right, it was closed. I sailed 'North', but the wind was rarely over 10mph from the south. Fun was had anyway, and I met a couple of new windsurfers who just moved from Boston...gave 'em the good word on our fine club; hopefully we'll see Ben and Andie again; they appeared to be very motivated beginners.

Ben had just bought a complete beginners rig ($200) from GENE'S CONSIGNMENT SHOP. He also bought a nice wet suit ($40) and almost new Booties ($20) and Andie bought a wetsuit and a shortie ($40), all from GENE'S CONSIGNMENT SHOP. Who says you cant get into the sport for less than a grand. Of course, once you get into the sport and catch the fever, we all know what happens then. They do appear psyched about the sport, Ben sailed Sat & Sun. Did I mention they bought some gear from GENE'S CONSIGNMENT SHOP? http://www.expage.com/genesconsignment/
My consignment shop does need inventory, so if you got new gear for christmas, and need to get rid of your old gear, shoot me an email or give me a call - 770-967-0104.

Gene- we missed it, what was the name of that shop again? Don Miller's Consignment Shop? (Second part relevant only to those familiar with Atlanta's radio station 99X but not funny enough to explain- probably not funny enough to those familiar either)
No, we got it, it was funny What happened to Barnes?
Went to CA to pursue an acting career-really.
