Please post if you're able to sail on Friday afternoon. I plan to sail at Van Pugh if the forecast remains favorable.

An enjoyable Sendit Sunday. Planing on an iRig, sending a windfoiler to the moon and big winds in Austria.
Considering 11am VP - anyone going that early?
April 26-28. Charter boards available… or ask me if you want to borrow an Equipe, S2 or IMCO longboard!

Friday footage after the wind relaxed a bit. I was already on shore worn out at this point.
Front coming through Thursday. Action possible Wed through Saturday with Friday looking like another off the chains day.
Slight chance of a sneaker session today with a south wind. Euro says no, HRRR says yes. It'll be interesting to see who wins this one.
Eclipse mania is in full swing. This is a nice explanation of how they figure out when it will happen.
Two ex-Atlantans came up and said hello today before I went out.
Glenn Tanner. Fred Dey and regatta host Eduardo Rodrigues (l-r) . Glenn was president of the club when I joined. Fred owned Windsense, our local shop, and was a Mistral factory rep /gear manager for the '96 Olympics in Savannah. Both live near here and learning how to wing foil.
Bring the small stuff. Looks like the peak winds (gusts in low 30s) will be around mid-day and then easing towards the afternoon.
I hope to play at VP mid-day.
Hopefully this is not an April Fools day joke. For those unfamiliar, Old 41 is a launch on Allatoona that favors S, SW and WSW. May come in handy over the next few days, Toona being a smaller lake is somewhat less susceptable to the dreaded Dome.......No promises. For some reason the link below doesn't work, so just copy it and paste it into your browser and you will get there.
A couple of days for the history books. Less experienced should exercise caution and discretion.
Dot forecast showing 28 gusting to 40.
Happy Easter!
Quick trip over since I'm up in G'ville today. Look at yesterday's post by Chris for access details if you want to join me.
We got "domed" yesterday afternoon so early or late is better than 2-3 pm (peak temps).
* Cold water prevented warm breeze from attaching to the surface
Me when I get back on a "narrow" longboard after months on wider foil boards
Sw. I'm headed to llsc.
Old Fed is open
With excellent conditions on tap, including mid-60's & strong NW wind, I plan to sail at Van Pugh Thursday afternoon.
Spring cleaning some gear, to make space for new upcoming. Come get some!

Monday's forecast is looking good for East wind at Vanns. I'm free to go if there's company. Please post if you plan to sail Monday.
I have few boards to sell :
-Techno 148L (264 x 75) deep Tuttle (was my foil board) with fin and bag - $250 OBO
-Techno 152L Large (blue type), (282 x 69) with fin - $75
-Starboard EVO 83L (234 x 58) with fin - $150
Also have an old Sailworks 6.9m2 with cams - $25
Possibly good conditions on tap for Sat. afternoon. I can go, but waiting until tomorrow’s weather update to decide.
A friend is interested for her 11 yr old son, who is about 80lb and maybe around 5ft
He intends to take it to Turkey, which isn’t easy - thus, to make all the trouble worthwhile, interested in something modern and in very good shape.
Also interested in 5-5.5 sail, mast, boom, mast extension, base. All with similar consideration as the board - namely modern, good quality, good shape so ite worth taking overseas.
I am considering Vanns for an early session (~9am) to hopefully catch the east wind before the rain.
Anyone going?
Nico Prien is the NEW PWA President + More- Ben & Paul Podcast
With all the talk of Slalom-X on the PWA, a fun "concept" video from PVB and Ben Proffitt. Paul mentioned trying to get these guys and gal to actually quit sailing for fun and concentrate on making the video was like herding cats. I feel him.
