I had a good weekend as well over at Ben Franklin Park East on Sunday and Monday. It was an Air, Land and Sea weekend for me since I flew static some kites I'm working on and sailed 6.6 on Monday as well.

Randy, you win the "I went to the park the furthest from my house" award. Now, you just need to get a board underfoot on the next visit to Pamlico Sound.
Speaking of kites - anyone know who the kiter was in the channel Sunday? One of the Ben Franklin regulars or someone new? (Seeking to expand our little community.)

If we're talking about the same kiters, they were Chris Wakefield and Mike Crawford, plus one other?, who I've met at old fed. They had two jet skies as chase boats, and launched from the sandbar off the end of Aqualand. I sailed over there to visit, while hoping the wind would calm down and steady up. It didnt. They also have betweeen them, a pontoon and a regular boat as chase boats.
There is NO way I would have tried to kite Sunday! Windsurfign was tuff enough.

That's what I love about kiting, you can put everything you need in the trunk of your car. The kite, the board, the jetskis, the boats. It all fits back there instead of having to put crap on the roof. Yep, all in the trunk.
