I posted some links in another thread but I figured a separate topic would be easier to share. It appears that the links page doesn’t have any kiteboard links so I’ll add these to the lessons section if it makes sense.
Charleston (IKO and PASA certified) - http://www.catchsomeair.us/
High Tide Surf Shop on Tybee (PASA certified?) - http://www.hightidesurfshop.com/
Jacksonville/Amelia/St. Augustine (IKO and PASA certified?) - http://www.oceanextremesports.com/index.htm
Jekyll - Robb Vanwie - 912-635-2634
For additional locations and links try this…

If anyone has kited in these locations let me know your thoughts as I tried Tybee last weekend but was thwarted by mother nature.

Are the Lanier kiters wearing helmets?
Au contraire- there's a whole section. We've had kiting links for several years.

The best way to tell everyone about an interesting link is to click "add a link"
(left menu under knowledge)

That way, it gets added to the links page and not buried in the forums.
Nitrojiber,
Yeah, this is sad. I haven't found anymore details on what truly happened. From the story it appears that maybe a gust got a hold of him but I'm not sure why his safety system would not have "kicked in". I know the wind can be really tricky out there due to the mountain affect.
Always good to wear a helmet but so far I've only worn one while snowkiting. Granted I've never been overpowered yet but accidents certainly can happen and helmet is good to wear. I don't wear one skiing either and after Sonny and Kennedy you'd think I'd get off my butt and buy one.

I think the links don't show up if you are not logged in? I seem to remember an entirely different links page than what I see now?
No big deal...glad to see the links! I'll add some that might be helpful.

You may be seeing or have come across the old links page- which still shows up on some legacy pages.
Don't know about being logged in - I'll have to check that out.
