I did make it out about 2:30, on the way to make a delivery to Gene's Consignement of Flowery Branch. There was just enough to get planing nicely on my 8.5 and wide board. Then it picked up, whitecaps and all and I was left looking for less fin and more outhaul, since I only had big sails. However, it didn't last and I'd say in about an hour or so it dropped off to 5 mph or less. One thing, sailing in very hot weather is really tiring.
So it was nice while it lasted, but didn't last that long.

so much for 5 to 10. How many times last fall did we see10-20 and get 5-10 or less. Now it's summer and 14-22?
for what it's worth, tomorrow pm doesn't look too bad on the ngm but in merely saying it, I've killed any possibility.
