General Information

Information is from Langdon Garner from this thread on our forums.

Lake Chatuge straddles the GA/NC border. The south end is in Hiawassee, GA and the North end goes up to Hayesville, NC. There is easy access to a launch on east side of the dam. You can often park, rig in the grass and launch within 25 ft of the water. S, SW and W winds are easy to launch and return. I usually use the longboard and there always seems to at least a breeze blowing. With the exception of holidays, boat traffic is not bad and mainly consists of pontoon boats.
